Executive Committee

Anyone who wants to be a part of the executive committee is welcome. The responsibilities of the executive committee are:

• Business (financial) decision making body of the group
• Community collaboration
• Assist people with obtaining community resources they need to build assets in youth.
• Marketing the message of Youth First
• Making sure we are accomplishing our goals

The executive committee meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month at the Gridley School District office from 6:30-7:30pm. Copies of our meeting minutes are posted online.

Within the executive committee there are the following specific responsibilities:

• Chairperson
  • The chairperson is committed to serve for at least one year, and is either asked to serve or volunteers and is approved by the rest of the executive committee. The chairperson asks a youth to serve as their counterpart for the same term.
  • The chairperson is responsible for creating agendas for the executive committee meetings and, with the youth-co-chair, vision team meetings, and leading those meetings.
• Treasurer
  • The treasurer is in charge of making sure all financial business is in order.
• Secretary
  • The secretary is responsible for taking notes at executive committee meetings.
